When I tried to make a support ticket trying to get my files back, I was THEN notified via email that my ticket could not be opened because I had to pay to become a "premium" member for this feature.

This is ridiculous. I did not even receive an email saying that I owed money or that my account was on the verge of suspension.

The support here is completely terrible as well as the service.

Do NOT use this site for hosting, if you are considering. I am HIGHLY disappointed with this site and would not recommend it to ANYBODY.

The last is perhaps the most important because we created a temporary 'under maintenance' page, but we're unable to direct traffic there because the new DNS records aren't taking affect (even though they were entered last week some time).

It seems as if the server freehostingcloud.com is hosted on has been hacked - maybe not though. At this point, we're really just trying repoint the DNS. Ultimately we'd like to transfer the domain to a different registrar since this service is being discontinued. Being able to access the (hacked) site files one last time would be nice, but isn't necessary.

Can anyone please help us get the domain transferred away? We did upgrade to the premium account option if this makes any difference whatsoever.

It is indeed sad news that the free service is being stopped. I do not mind paying for hosting however it is extremely disappointing that I cannot access my files at the moment. Whenever I try and login it comes up with reported attack page.

EDIT: Managed to regain access using my iPad which after several attempts managed to get access to the control panel and reset my FTP password. Also had to remove some malicious code from some of my website files.

My old Unix days tells me closing a session without logging out leaves a process running on the server and that process will continue to run until an administrator "kills" it. So I would like to know if that is still the case? Does a session have a time to live (TTL) and time out? Could that be why I keep having trouble with file manager? Please don't tell me the reason is that the servers are busy or I will start to think these servers are running in someone's closet or basement ]]>
